KBB Resources Berhad (“KRB”) was incorporated in Malaysia on 20 June 2002 as a public limited company under the Act. The principal activity of KRB is that of an investment holding whilst its subsidiaries are principally engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of all types of rice and sago sticks (vermicelli) and other related products.

The history of the KRB Group begun when Dato’ Ang Cho Teing, one of the Promoters of KRB, started a vermicelli manufacturing factory in Tasek Gelugor under a sole proprietorship trading under the name of Bersatu Kilang Bihun in 1984. On 15 September 1988, in order to corporatise the business for future expansion purposes, Kilang Bihun Bersatu Sdn Bhd was incorporated to take over the business of Bersatu Kilang Bihun. Subsequently, Dato’ Ang Cho Teing retired as Managing Director & Executive Director on 22.6.2011 and Dato Sri’ Chin Seak Huat became Group Managing Director on 22.6.2011.

As part of the KRB Group’s diversification plans, Bersatu Sago Industries Sdn Bhd and Kilang Bihun Bersatu (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd were incorporated on 23 December 2000 and 18 Arpil 2001 respectively. On 9 July 2004, KRB Group established a new investment holding company, Bersatu (BVI) Limited in British Virgin Islands to undertake its oversea expansion plan. As such, PT Bersatu International Food Industries was incorporated in Indonesia in 29 October 2004.On 30 December 2005, KRB Group entered into agreements to acquire the entire equity interest in Rasayang Food Industries Sdn Bhd. Subsequently, Bersatu Noodles Industries Sdn Bhd, a newly acquired subsidiary company, was set up in 29 August 2006 for the Group to venture in noodles and related products. In line with the KRB Group expansion plan, Bersatu Sago Industries (Mukah) Sdn Bhd and Bersatu Biotechnology (Johore) Sdn Bhd were incorporate on 26 June 2007 and 24 October 2007 respectively for the manufacturing and marketing of all types of sago starch and related products.
